aptX Adaptive codec
The Creative BT-W5 Bluetooth adapter supports the advanced aptX Adaptive codec, which gives you a choice between two sampling and latency versions. In low latency mode, the adapter effectively reduces latency to around 50ms, which is ideal for movies and gaming. Then in High Quality mode, high audio quality is preferred, where you can indulge in audio scaling with aptX HD up to 420 kbps, perfect for listening to high-resolution music. Mode switching is handled by an app that can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website.

Extension features
Whatever content you're listening to at the time, double-pressing the button on the BT-W5 will instantly switch to an HFP profile and allow you to communicate with your friends, co-workers or family using the headset's microphone. In addition to Windows and macOS, the Creative BT-W5 is also compatible with PlayStation 4/5 and Nintendo Switch. Just keep in mind that it uses a modern USB-C connector and a USB-to-A adapter is not included.
