The Aqara Dual Relay Module T2 features a range of key characteristics that enhance its functionality. It offers a potential-free mode, HomeKit and Matter support via the Aqara hub, as well as interlock and motor control. Additionally, it allows for energy monitoring, power memory, increased safety, wireless switch mode, multiple installation methods, and is characterized by its small size and universal design.
When connected to the Aqara hub, the Dual Relay Module T2 offers extended compatibility with various platforms such as HomeKit, Alexa, Google Home, IFTTT, and Matter. This allows traditional devices to become smart, and their integration with third-party systems is seamless and harmonious. Users can forget about limitations related to different protocols and platforms, enjoying a complete smart home experience.
The T2 controller supports two operating modes: potential-free contact and powered contact. In potential-free contact mode, users can choose between an open and close pulse signal or an on and off signal, allowing control over motors, garage doors, roller gates, and other devices. In powered contact mode, it is easy to implement smart lighting control without replacing the original equipment. By disconnecting the red jumper, users can switch the T2 between modes, enabling integration with various types of devices.
With the Interlock mode, the Aqara T2 allows for safe connection to bidirectional motors. This way, effective control over motors is possible, and the device can serve as a roller switch and be a central part of a water leak protection system.
The module also supports wireless switch conversion mode. This feature allows the existing wall switch to be transformed into a scene controller, enabling the arming or disarming of the security system and controlling curtains or lighting using an old wired switch.
The Aqara Dual Relay Module T2 provides increased safety and protection. It supports overheating and overload protection, eliminating the risk of electric shock in the event of immediate equipment activation. When the equipment temperature is unusual or the power exceeds 2500 W, the device automatically shuts down, enhancing electrical safety.
Thanks to its DIN rail mounting design, installing the relay in electrical cabinets and other tight spaces is extremely simple. The compact size of the device makes it perfectly fit various wall boxes, including 86 mm and standard American ones.
