When using Cat.7 raw cables, for example, the transmission properties of a Channel Class E in accordance with ISO/IEC 11801, 2nd edition are more than met and confirmed by certificates. All patch cables additionally include a latch protection and a moulded strain relief makes them particularly robust and well protected.
For Gigabit Ethernet application the ISO/IEC 11801, 2nd edition specifies increased requirements for Category 5 (Cat.5e). Patch Cords Cat.5e meet already these requirements for installation of Class D channels, and therefore provide a secure basis for future network cabling.
