The X2-10GB-SR-C Transceiver is a hot pluggable module in the Z-direction that is usable in typical router line card applications. The maximum transmission length of X2-10GB-SR-C is defined from 26m to 300m, depending on multimode fiber types.

The X2-10GB-SR-C is a fully integrated 10.3Gbit/s optical transceiver module that consists of an 850nm wavelength VCSEL optical transmitter and receiver, XAUI interface, Mux and Demux with clock and data recovery (CDR). The transponder operates within a wide temperature range of 0 °C to 70°C and offers optimum heat dissipation and excellent electromagnetic shielding thus enabling high port densities for 10.3 Gbps systems. A 70-pin electrical connector and a duplex SC connector optical interface assure that connectivity is compliant to the X2 MSA.
