With the HumidCheck Contact you can easily and quickly measure the moisture content of firewood, building materials and walls. This robust instrument is ideal for on-site inspection at the construction site or on new construction. The operation is very simple - touch the material with the measuring ball, confirm the measuring key and read the measured value, done. Thanks to the capacitive measuring principle, the device can measure up to 40 mm deep without damaging the object. Especially important is the measurement of the moisture content of firewood before using it in the fireplace. As wood cells have more than 20% water content, this leads to not only a decrease in calorific value, but also to smoke, tar and soot formation.
