Silicone-based thermal conductive sealant with thermal conductivity, 6 W/mK
High-quality thermally conductive sealant, e.g. used to replace thermally conductive pads on GPU RAM. The thermal conductive sealant has the following advantages:
- it can be conveniently applied in different quantities and areas, the thermally conductive pad has to be cut to the required size, which requires more time and effort
- it can be conveniently applied in different thicknesses, so it is suitable for graphics cards requiring different thicknesses of thermal pads
- application of one tube of sealant is cheaper than buying heat shims of different thicknesses
- sealant generally retains its thermal conductivity properties longer, whereas thermal pads may dry out and lose effectiveness over time
Thermal conductive mastic has a thermal conductivity of 6W/m-K, which makes it equal to some cheaper thermal conductive pastes. It has a higher density than thermal paste and can therefore more easily form the required size and thickness of the layer.
