Der ZyXEL Business-WLAN-Controller NXC5500 kann bis zu 512 Access-Points zentral managen. Diese Lizenz ermöglicht die Nutzung von zusätzlichen 64 APs der NWA3000-N Serie, NWA5000 Serie oder NWA5120 Serie.
Mit dem WLAN-Controller ist eine zentrale Konfiguration unabhängig von der Anzahl an Managed-APs möglich. Einzige Voraussetzung ist ein funktionierendes IP-Netzwerk. Dank Standard-CAPWAP-Unterstützung (Control-And-Provisioning-of-Wireless-Access-Points) finden die Managed-APs den Controller automatisch und ein sicherer Tunnel wird aufgebaut.
