When temperatures rise in the summer, the COOL@HOME wireless thermometer also performs at its best: A unique alarm function gives you ventilation recommendations with the aim of keeping your room temperature as cool as possible. An internal sensor measures the indoor temperature. At the same time, the outdoor transmitter determines the temperature outside. If it is cooler outside than inside, the "OPEN windows" symbol appears and opening your windows to let in the fresher air is recommended. If the temperature inside your house is lower, the warm air should remain outside and the recommendation is "CLOSE windows". You can set an alarm with two different volume levels to alert you to ventilate or close windows at the right time. This keeps your rooms as cool as possible without the energy consumption of an air conditioning system.
As this function is only useful in the summer, it can simply be deactivated and the window symbol in the middle disappears.
Even without the ventilation recommendation, there are still many useful and fascinating functions. This compact device receives the current time via the DCF 77 signal. The date also appears without prior setting. In addition to the indoor and outdoor temperature, the temperature trend is displayed in two different levels. You can call up the maximum and minimum values with the date and time of recording.
Hang your wireless thermometer on the wall, keep it on metal surfaces thanks to its two magnets or set it up using the fold-out stand. Its wireless radio transmitter for the outdoor temperature has a range of up to 100 metres.
