The cable is suitable for extending USB3.0 and USB2.0 cables by an additional 10m. The standard USB cable is limited to a maximum length of 5m. With the USB 3.0 optical cable, the cable can be extended by 10m for a total cable length of up to 15m.
The cable achieves true USB 3.0 transfer speeds while being backwards compatible with USB2.0
- The extension cable can be used on all USB 3.0 or USB2.0 devices, allowing you to plug in a USB hub behind the extension cable and connect multiple USB devices
