The SAL20 stereomicroscope auxiliary lens is mounted on the lens cap using a thread. The system magnification increases (2x). The field of view becomes half as large (compared to a conventional objective), and the working distance reaches 40.4mm.


The auxiliary lens can be used as an additional device to add magnification if the increase in magnification with the eyepieces is not enough or if they are not used at all. This is possible when a digital camera is connected to the system and used for observations.
