JJC LH-EW55II Lens Hood is a specialized accessory designed for use with CAN. RF 28mm f/2.8 STM Lens, serving as a replacement for CAN. EW-55 Lens Hood. It prevents unwanted stray light from entering the lens by extending the end of it, which helps reduce lens flare and improve image quality.
The interior surface of the lens hood features a non-glare matte finish, which further helps to prevent or limit lens flare. When mounted on the lens, it does not cause vignetting, ensuring the entire image remains unobstructed. With the extended lens end, you will also get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact.
Moreover, the lens hood is created to complement the aesthetics of the lens and camera system, maintaining a seamless and cohesive look. The hood is designed to work in the reversed position, allowing the hood to be placed backwards over the lens for a more compact storage solution.
