Ernitec's PoE injectors strictly follow IEEE 802.3 standards, ensuring reliable power delivery. PSE (Power Sourcing Equipment) provides power, while PD (Powered Devices) receive it. Voltage drop over long cables can reduce available wattage, and affect high-powered devices. For such devices, Ernitec recommends a maximum cable length of 1 meter and using pure copper CAT6 cables for optimal performance.
