The ProStar Profi 6 (formerly BlackStar 6) sand filtration system is inspired by nature - here, too, rainwater is transformed into crystal-clear spring water by filtration in permeable rock layers. In sand filtration, the water passes through silica sand, where even fine impurities are trapped and only clean, filtered water is returned to the pool. It is therefore important to rinse the filter sand frequently to prevent dirt from settling in the sand. We recommend rinsing the filtration at least once a week.
Composition and description of sand filtration
The ProStar Profi 6 sand filtration system consists of a filter container that can hold 33 - 35 kg of filter sand. The container is made of high quality polypropylene (PP). It is seamless, corrosion resistant and resistant to commonly available chemicals used in swimming pools.
The filtration is equipped with a drain valve, pressure gauge, built-in components of the filtration vessel including an easy-to-use 6-way valve (which is built into the lid of the filtration vessel), 450 W pump motor, plastic base for on-site installation. The system is manufactured from high quality materials in strict compliance with technical standards and passes an output control.

As standard, the sand filtration is supplied without filter sand and hoses. If you do not have these products, we recommend buying them together with the sand filtration.
Recommendations to reduce operating costs
If you are on a reduced electricity tariff (i.e. night-time power), you can switch on the filtration when this tariff is active. You can buy a switching hourly socket for the filtration from hobby shops or on the internet, which will switch the filtration off and on at the set time. This can significantly reduce your operating costs.
