AXAGON Active extension cable, 7.5 m | ADR-207 | USB Type-A to USB Type-A

AXAGON ADR-207 7.5m active USB 2.0 extension cable is ideal for connecting your computer to USB devices such as mouse, keyboard, webcam, printer, scanner, plotter and more. The active USB repeater cable amplifies the throughput signal and allows you to connect USB devices over a significantly greater distance than a passive cable will allow. The range of the cable can be further extended by using several cables in a row.
A great advantage of the ADR-207 cable is the integrated auxiliary power connector. In most cases, power over the USB bus will suffice, but for devices with higher power draws, USB power may be insufficient at longer distances and additional mains power can solve the problem in these cases.
The exceptionally compact body of the repeater cable allows seamless use in power rails or cable systems. The use of high quality shielded cable ensures high speed communication and minimal unwanted interference.

Power supply:
- Power the cable and connected devices over the USB bus (bus-power mode 5V - 500mA).
- For most connected USB devices, the power supply over the USB bus is sufficient and no additional power supply is needed.
- The active part of the cable contains a connector (3.5 x 1.3mm outer x inner diameter) for additional external 5V/1-2A power supply.
- A 1.2m USB A-M / 3.5mm jack power cable is included. The cable allows power to be supplied from a standard mobile phone charger with USB-A output 5V / min. 1A, e.g. AXAGON ACU-QC18.
- When powering the repeater cable with a power adapter, an external 2.5" drive can also be connected without the need to power the drive itself.
- For longer USB routes with several repeater cables connected in series, the power supply over the USB bus may already be insufficient even for USB devices with lower power consumption than an external 2.5" drive. Also in this case it can help to boost the power supply by connecting a power adapter.
