Test strips are used to measure the calcium hardness of water. The strip is immersed in water for one second and the excess water is wiped off. The strips will then become coloured and after approximately one minute the colour will be compared to the scale shown on the packaging.
The ideal calcium content is 190 - 270 mg/l. If the water is too hard or soft, special products should be used to adjust the hardness.
The strip is suitable for measuring the hardness of water for washing machines or dishwashers.
