Onyx Boox has come up with a new colour electronic notebook of the latest generation, the Note Air 5C. It uses a Carta 1200 display and the new Android 15 OS version, which makes it a very useful device for people who want to buy it and use it for many years, as Android 15 app support will be relevant for a long time to come.
The Boox Note Air 5C features a 10.3" Kaleido 3 display with e-paper technology that can display 4,096 colors and uses the Carta 1200 panel. The black and white resolution is 2480 x 1860 at 300 PPI and the color resolution is 1240 x 930 at 150 PPI. The screen is protected by a glass layer. The colour scheme is black on the front and back of the device. You can use this device day or night thanks to the backlit display with warm and cool light.
The device houses an octa-core processor, 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. If that's not enough, there's an SD card slot with support for an additional 1TB. There's Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, two speakers, a G-sensor for auto-rotation and a single microphone. The power button is equipped with a fingerprint reader for added security and also includes a USB-C port for data transfer and charging. It is powered by a 3,700 mAh battery and measures 225 x 192 x 5.8 mm, weighing 440 g.
The Onyx Boox is slowly moving away from WACOM screens and towards EMRs. This device is compatible with the new BOOX Pen3 stylus, which has 4,096 levels of pressure, tilt sensitivity and ultra-low latency.
The Air 5C is primarily an electronic notebook, so it offers Onyx's full suite of note-taking features and a PDF editor. 15 colors are available when drawing and 4096 colors when viewing or editing PDF files. Since this device runs on Android 15 and has Google Play, you can download OneNote, Evernote, and Acrobat for editing documents. The entire tablet is super fast thanks to BOOX Super Refresh technology.
What are the differences between this model and the Note Air 4C? This model runs on Android 15, supports the new Pen3 stylus and has pogo pins for the new Boox keyboard.
