Kitchen Scale
Sencor SKS 7176GD

Smart Kitchen Scale with Bluetooth
• Scale with the Sencor FOOD app, developed in collaboration with the creators of the Calorie Tables app
• Extensive online food database with over 400,000 continuously updated entries
• Provides nutritional details for the desired food intake (carbohydrates, protein, fat, cholesterol, fiber…)
• White-backlit LCD display
• Weighing capacity up to 8 kg (1 g resolution)

This is the successor to the popular SKS 707x series of smart kitchen scales. The successful and unique core design remains the same, but the evolution of the SKS 717x series brings improved weighing capacity—it can now weigh up to 8 kg, we’ve changed how the scale is turned on—an ON/OFF button has been added—and, last but not least, we’ve removed the liquid volume measurement feature (which, let’s face it, nobody really needs) so that the previously combined button now serves a single purpose: tare function.
A smart kitchen scale from Sencor’s premium metallic line of kitchen appliances, featuring a glass weighing surface, a large, easy-to-read white-backlit display, two touch buttons for easy operation, and Bluetooth for easy connection to your smartphone.
Because the scale is linked via the Sencor FOOD app to the best available food database—which contains more than 400,000 continuously updated items—it helps you keep a perfect track of your calorie intake and individual nutritional components. By the way, the Sencor FOOD app was developed in collaboration with the creators of the popular Calorie Tables app.
The Bluetooth connection between the scale and your phone is incredibly fast, intuitive, and easy. You’ll see the weighed amount on your smartphone’s display almost immediately—whether you prefer an Android or iOS device. Then all you have to do is look up what you’re weighing in the database, and you’ll instantly know how much sugar, fat, and calories that food contains…
Don’t worry—our Sencor FOOD app will help you find specific foods, as it can read or scan EAN barcodes on food packaging. Every package has a unique EAN code. This ensures maximum speed and ease of use. Plus, you’ll always be sure that you have the nutritional data for the exact right food item.

TARE Function for Weighing Ingredients
When you’re baking your favorite cake, you’ll want to know the total nutritional values for the entire recipe, but you certainly won’t want to include the bowl you’re using to weigh the individual ingredients. Our smart TARE function will help you with that.
- Place an empty container on the scale. Press the TARE button to reset the value to zero. The “T” symbol will light up.
- Place the first ingredient in the container. Its weight will appear on the display. Press the TARE button to reset the value to zero; the “T” symbol will light up. The weight of the first ingredient is now stored in memory, and the scale is ready for the next weighing.
- Place the next food item in the container. Its weight will appear on the display. Press the TARE button to display the total weight of the first and second food items. Press the TARE button again to save the total to memory and reset the display to zero. The “T” symbol remains lit.
- Continue adding food items in the same way until the scale’s maximum capacity (8,000 g) is reached.

Sencor FOOD App
The scale is equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology, which, when paired with the free Sencor FOOD app installed on your smartphone, offers direct access to an extensive and regularly updated database of foods and their nutritional values.
The Sencor FOOD app was developed in collaboration with the creators of the Calorie Tables / Dine4Fit app and is designed for smartphones running iOS or Android. Your phone must be connected to the internet while using the app.
The scale connects to your phone automatically when you launch the app. To pair the scale, simply make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your smartphone. If the app cannot find the scale, it will prompt you to try connecting the scale again.
Note: The scale can only connect to one smartphone at a time. If you have trouble pairing, make sure there is no other device within range that is currently actively connected to the scale.
The app offers two weighing modes:
- “On Scale” mode – displays the weight of the item currently being weighed. After you tell the scale which food item you’re weighing—either by using the “Search for Food” field or by scanning a barcode—it will display the food’s nutritional values based on the current weight measured.
- “List” mode – allows you to determine the total nutritional value of multiple foods. This mode is useful, for example, when preparing a meal according to a recipe. Add foods to the scale one by one, and use the “Search for Food” field to specify which food it is. Once you’ve determined both the weight and the type of food, use the “+ Add Food to List” button to add it to the total nutritional sum. As needed during weighing, use the TARE button on the scale to adjust the weight. While in “List” mode, the scale continuously displays the total weight of the ingredients and calculates the weights of individual nutritional components (for example, how many grams of carbohydrates the weighed foods contain in total).
Note: In “List” mode, the scale can also weigh negative values. What does this mean? Here’s an example: Place a container of yogurt on the scale and “tare” its weight. Remove the required amount; a negative value will appear on the display—that is, the weight of the yogurt you removed, which went into the recipe you’re preparing. Use the “+ Add Food to List” button to add the negative entry to the List. However, the weight and nutritional values will be recorded as positive values.
The Sencor FOOD app uses national food databases that contain foods that are actually available and are continuously updated for a given region. Databases are currently available for the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Ukraine, and Russia. An English-language version is also available.
How do you search for a food item? You can manually enter its name into the search bar, but it’s much faster and easier to scan the barcode from the packaging. It only takes a moment, and you’ll be sure that you’ve identified the exact food item you weighed, with nutritional values that are as accurate as possible.
And because the Sencor FOOD app is tightly integrated with the Calorie Tables app, once you’ve finished weighing your food, you can add it to your meal plan in Calorie Tables with a single click, allowing you to keep a long-term record of your food intake (Some advanced features of the Calorie Tables app may require a fee).
