Main advantages of Schwalbe SCV (Clik Valve)
- Extremely easy and fast inflation ("on the click"): The pump head simply clicks onto the valve (with minimal force), without screwing, levers or having to loosen the nut as with the Presta valve. The control is possible with just two fingers.
- No loss of pressure when disconnecting: no air escapes from the casing when the pump is fitted and removed - only the pump hose escapes.
- Greater air flow: Tubeless systems offer up to 50% more flow than a standard galus valve (SV/Presta), making it easier to "hop" the tire onto the rim.
- More durability and stability: the valve design is more robust and less susceptible to damage (e.g. bending), and also eliminates wear on the seal on the pump head.
- Backward compatibility: the valve can also be inflated in an emergency with conventional galus valve pumps (SV/Presta) with a push-on mechanism. However, a compatible SCV pump head/adapter is required for full "crank-on" operation.
