The InLine® HDMI KVM Extender over IP Set enables the reliable transmission of HDMI image and sound signals as well as KVM control via an IP-based network. The system consists of a transmitter and a receiver unit that are specially matched to each other and can only be operated together.
The IP-based transmission allows for a flexible system architecture. Operation can be either as a direct point-to-point connection or via a suitable network switch. This allows existing network structures to be used efficiently and workstations to be separated spatially from the host system.
The integrated KVM function allows remote systems to be fully operated with a USB keyboard and USB mouse. In addition, the system supports bidirectional transmission of infrared control signals, allowing connected HDMI signal sources to be controlled remotely.
In network operation, the transmitter included in the set can supply several compatible receivers simultaneously. All connected receivers output identical image, USB and IR signals. Manual assignment or configuration of the receivers is not necessary.
