The FRITZ!Box 4050 with Wi-Fi 6 (Wireless AX) is ideal for connecting to an existing fibre optic, cable or DSL modem. With speeds of up to 2400 Mbit/s on 5 GHz and 600 Mbit/s on 2.4 GHz, it provides a fast internet connection for a high-performance home network.

The FRITZ!Box 4050 effortlessly handles multiple simultaneous 4K streams, video chats, downloads and cloud applications. It is equipped with one Gigabit WAN port, three Gigabit LAN ports, one USB port and a VoIP telephone system with a DECT base station. It also features an analogue telephone jack.

Its compact design and low energy consumption make the FRITZ!Box 4050 an ideal starting point for a modern, connected home.

Hub of the Mesh Wi-Fi Network

As the hub of a Mesh Wi-Fi network, the FRITZ!Box 4050 provides fast and reliable connections. The various FRITZ! devices distributed throughout the home – such as FRITZ!Repeaters – operate within a single Wi-Fi network, exchange data with each other and optimise the performance of all wireless devices.

This ensures that the best possible connection is always established wherever it is needed. Streaming, gaming and downloads run seamlessly at the highest possible speeds, even in the furthest corners of the home. The entire Wi-Fi network uses a single network name and password together with secure encryption.

Versatile Smart Home and Convenient Telephony

Smart Home devices such as the FRITZ!DECT 302 radiator control, FRITZ!DECT 440 switch and FRITZ!DECT 500 LED light can be controlled through the integrated DECT base station.

The FRITZ!Box 4050's VoIP-enabled telephone system supports one analogue telephony device and up to six DECT cordless handsets. Via Wi-Fi, even a smartphone can be used as a fully featured VoIP telephone.

Multiple integrated answering machines, local telephone books, online telephone contacts and a wide range of convenience features complete the extensive telephony functionality.

Comprehensive Multimedia Functions

The FRITZ!Box 4050 provides access throughout the home network to connected USB storage, online storage and all content stored there.

Thanks to the integrated media server combined with NAS functionality, stored videos, music and pictures can be made available to playback devices such as smartphones. This makes the FRITZ!Box 4050 a powerful platform for networked multimedia applications such as IPTV, video on demand and 4K streaming.
