BOYA BY-PM740 4-pattern wireless microphone 2.4 GHz, 3.5 mm mini jack - black
The BOYA BY-PM740 is a microphone designed for streaming, podcasting, gaming, video calls, and studio recording. It can be used wired via a 3.5mm connector or wirelessly in the 2.4GHz band using the included USB-A receiver. Four polar patterns allow you to tailor the sound capture to a single person, a conversation, or recording from multiple directions. A noise-cancelling function helps reduce unwanted background noise, and separate knobs make it easy to adjust the microphone sensitivity and monitor volume. The built-in rechargeable battery provides up to 6 hours of wireless operation, while the adjustable stand allows you to conveniently point the microphone towards the speaker. The most important advantages of the BOYA BY-PM740 microphone:
- Two connection methods: the microphone works wired via a 3.5 mm connector or wirelessly in the 2.4 GHz band.
- Four recording modes: the pickup pattern can be adjusted to suit the caller, interview or group recording.
- Noise reduction: This feature helps reduce background noise and enhance the voice recording.
- Recording and listening controls: separate knobs and a headphone output make it easy to adjust the sound on the fly.
- Adjustable positioning: The movable holder and removable base allow you to adjust the microphone to your position.
Works wired and wireless
The 3.5mm jack allows you to connect the microphone to a compatible computer, tablet, or smartphone. When operating wirelessly, the USB-A receiver communicates with the microphone over the 2.4GHz band at a range of up to 10 meters without obstruction, and the built-in rechargeable battery provides up to 6 hours of recording time.
Four characteristics adjust sound recording
Cardioid mode focuses on sound from the front, omnidirectional mode picks up sound from all sides, and bidirectional mode is suitable for conversations between two people sitting opposite each other. Stereo mode captures the spatial arrangement of sound sources.
Noise reduction helps highlight your voice
A dedicated button enables a function that reduces unwanted background noise. This solution improves speech clarity during broadcasts, internet calls, podcasts, and commentary recordings.
Knobs provide direct sound control
Separate controls allow you to adjust the microphone sensitivity and headphone volume. The 3.5mm jack allows you to listen to the recorded signal in real time, and pressing the appropriate knob mutes the microphone or monitor.
Adjustable design fits a variety of positions
Side knobs allow you to adjust the microphone's angle and lock it in place. The integrated stand provides a stable desktop setting, and when detached, the microphone can be mounted on a suitable tripod or arm with a 3/8-inch or 1/4-inch thread.
