Thanks to Wi-Fi 6 with two radio units, total data rates of up to 3000 Mbit/s can be achieved, with up to 2400 Mbit/s on 5 GHz and 600 Mbit/s on 2.4 GHz.

In a Mesh Wi-Fi network, multiple distributed wireless access points, such as a FRITZ!Box and FRITZ!Repeaters, are combined into a single intelligent Wi-Fi network. The distributed FRITZ! devices communicate with each other to optimise the performance of all wireless devices.

Intelligent technologies such as crossband repeating, band steering and an expanded automatic channel function ensure optimal Wi-Fi coverage at all times. This ensures that the best possible connection is always established wherever it is needed.

Streaming, gaming and downloads run seamlessly at the fastest possible speeds, even in the furthest corners of the home. For convenience, the entire Wi-Fi network uses a single network name and password and is securely encrypted.

The latest encryption standards protect your privacy throughout the entire Mesh Wi-Fi network. The LED on the housing displays the wireless signal strength to help find the optimal position for the Mesh Wi-Fi Extender 1600.

The extender is simply plugged into a power socket, connected at the push of a button and automatically added to the FRITZ! Mesh.
