Use a thermometer with a thermometer to accurately measure the volume-percentage of alcohol in the measured mixture.

The measurement is made in a flat-bottomed container of sufficient size to allow the spirit level to float in the free liquid. Therefore, insert the spirit level gently into the liquid until the weight of the glass is equal to the proportion of liquid displaced. The reading should be taken above the liquid level mark. To achieve this, the eye must be below the liquid level. The alcohol content is determined by the scale in the stem of the spirit meter (determined by the liquid level).

It is very important that the spirit meter is immersed in the liquid when measuring and that the measurement is made in a clean and dry environment, otherwise an accurate measurement result cannot be obtained. It is also very important that the temperature of the liquid corresponds to the reference temperature of 20 °C on the thermometer in the alcoholmeter. Any significant deviation from this temperature will result in an incorrect marking of the spirit thermometer.

Technical data:

Measuring range of the spirit thermometer: 0-100%.
Weight: 29 g
Dimensions: 300 mm, diameter 17 mm
