Thinkware OBD CAB
The Thinkware OBD CAB is a power cable designed for Thinkware dashcams that allows for easy power supply and activation of parking mode without the need for complicated installation into the vehicle’s electrical system. It plugs directly into the vehicle’s OBD-II diagnostic port and ensures a continuous power supply to the dashcam while driving and parking.
Thanks to the OBD-II connection, there is no need to access the fuse box or make any professional modifications to the vehicle’s electrical system. Installation is quick, safe, and suitable for both private users and corporate fleets.
The cable allows for full use of Thinkware dash cam parking modes, including motion detection, impact detection, time-lapse recording, and power-saving modes. This enables the camera to monitor the vehicle’s surroundings even after the ignition is turned off.
The system includes a car battery protection feature that monitors the vehicle’s voltage and automatically disconnects the camera’s power supply if the voltage drops below a preset value. This helps prevent the starter battery from draining and ensures safe operation of the parking mode.
