The SUNSUN HXS-02 is an electric aquarium sump cleaner designed for periodic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning the substrate, removing debris, and performing water changes. With a power rating of 16 W, the device achieves a flow rate of up to 800 l/h and a lift height of up to 1.6 m, making it an efficient aid for daily tank maintenance. The adjustable working length from 650 to 1050 mm allows the siphon to be adapted to aquariums of various heights. An additional advantage is the ability to adjust the flow rate and operate the device with a single button, which enhances user convenience during tank maintenance.

Effective removal of sediment and debris

During operation, the SUNSUN HXS-02 sucks up water along with debris settled at the bottom, helping to remove fish waste, food scraps, and sediment accumulating between substrate grains. Thanks to the properly designed skimmer hood, it is possible to clean the gravel or sand without having to completely drain the aquarium. Regular cleaning reduces the accumulation of organic matter on the bottom, which helps maintain the tank’s aesthetic appearance. This is particularly useful during routine maintenance in freshwater aquariums.

Substrate rinsing and debris filtration

The device is equipped with a filter that traps larger debris during cleaning. This allows for more effective separation of sediment from the substrate while the sludge remover is in operation. The substrate rinsing function helps remove accumulated dirt from the surface of the gravel or sand without having to remove it from the tank. This makes aquarium maintenance faster and requires less effort.

Assistance During Water Changes

The SUNSUN HXS-02 can be used not only for siphoning but also for draining water during regular water changes. The use of an outlet hose and flow control allows for convenient drainage of water outside the aquarium. This allows the user to perform several basic maintenance tasks using a single device. Please note that the gravel cleaner is intended for periodic maintenance and does not replace a standard aquarium filter operating in continuous mode.
