The card is compatible with the PCI Express specification 1.1 in single-lane operation and, with 256 byte deep FIFO buffers, provides reliable, low-latency communication. Supported data formats such as 5-8 data bits, various parities, and 1 or 2 stop bits make it easy to connect existing serial peripherals.
In professional IT environments, in on-site installations, and in service deployments, the card supports the continued operation of established serial devices within existing infrastructures of companies and public institutions.
