Ultrasonic and High-Voltage Marten and Rodent Repeller for the Engine Compartment
This combined repeller provides effective protection for a vehicle’s engine compartment against martens, rodents, and other small animals. It combines ultrasonic technology with high-voltage contact plates, which together create a highly effective defense against damage to wiring, hoses, and other vehicle components.
The high-voltage plates are installed in high-risk areas of the engine compartment, such as near wiring harnesses, water and air hoses, or starter cables. When an animal comes into contact with a plate, it receives an unpleasant but harmless electrical impulse that immediately deters the animal from moving further toward the vehicle. The system then automatically recharges and is ready for the next use.
The device also uses a powerful piezoelectric speaker that generates ultrasonic pulses at varying frequencies. Thanks to the randomly changing intervals and frequencies, animals do not become accustomed to the emitted signal. The ultrasound is inaudible to humans but very unpleasant for martens and rodents.
A built-in vibration sensor automatically detects when the engine is running. While the vehicle is in motion, the repeller turns off to prevent unnecessary energy consumption. Once the vehicle is parked, the device automatically reactivates and protects the engine compartment without requiring any user intervention.
A clear LED display indicates the operation of the ultrasonic function, the high-voltage function, and the battery status. Thanks to its low power consumption, the batteries last up to approximately one year.
