The InLine® Smart WiFi door/window sensor is a compact contact signal transmitter for integration into existing WiFi-based smart home environments. The connection is made directly via WiFi 2.4 gigahertz in accordance with the IEEE802.11b/g/n standard. No additional bridge or separate gateway is required. The sensor reacts to changes in the magnetic contact between the sensor unit and the magnet module. Opening or closing processes are detected immediately and visualised in the Smart Life app. This allows automated scenarios to be configured, for example to activate additional components or to monitor the status of defined areas. Thanks to support for voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, the sensor can be integrated into voice-controlled smart home routines. The compact design allows for discreet installation on doors, windows or cabinet elements. The low energy consumption of 13μA in standby mode contributes to a long battery life. With an average of 7 activations per day, the service life is up to 2 years. This reduces maintenance cycles and increases operational reliability.
