The USB 2.0 to RS-232 cable with A-connector provides a serial RS-232 high performance UART 16C550 output. It supports the external voltage of +5V especially on pin 9 of the connector. It is designed to extend another serial output for PC, small workstation or server via the USB 1.1, 2.0 or 3.2 Gen1 bus. Due to the easy installation there is no need to open the computer and the EX-1311-2-5V can be installed during operation. Two nuts are included, which can easily be replaced with the thumbscrews if the cable to be connected has screws.
