Gitzo GHF2W, 55 mm, 590 g, 6 cm

The Gitzo 2 Way Fluid Head provides the highest performance for birdwatchers and digiscopers with medium-sized spotting scopes, as well as for wildlife photographers and videographers using premium CSC or DSLR cameras with lenses up to 200mm. Birdwatching requires support equipment with specific features, but almost all the heads used by birdwatchers are video- or photo-dedicated supports that are usually larger, heavier and more complicated than they ideally need to be. Uniquely, the Gitzo 2 Way Fluid Head has been developed with a single objective in mind: to fully satisfy both birdwatchers and wildlife photographers shooting with up to medium telephoto lenses, as both are very similar needs.

The Gitzo 2 Way Fluid Head is an extremely compact fluid head with an essential, ergonomic design. The reflection-free surfaces offer good camouflage, which is especially critical for use in wildlife applications. The head also provides a comprehensive set of technical features, combined with an exceptional performance-compactness ratio.

The key innovations of this head are the fluid cartridges and the precise inner mechanism. The result is an unconventional head perfectly matched to Carbon Fibre Gitzo tripods and an extraordinary combination of performance and portability, designed for ultra-stable and precise spotting and shooting. Gitzo 2 Way Fluid Head has a stiff and lightweight magnesium body, weighs less than 0,6 kg and can safely support a payload of up to 4kg. It is the perfect head to carry outdoors without having to choose between high performance and portability.

Besides the exceptionally smooth movement offered by its high-quality engineering and assembly, the 2 Way Fluid Head features a long rubberised Arca-Swiss compatible plate and a sophisticated, adjustable and highly accurate counterbalance system, which allows photographic equipment to be perfectly balanced and supported easily and firmly for capturing the sharpest shots.

The new 2 Way Fluid Head by Gitzo makes light work of easily capturing moving objects with unparalleled precision, since its fluid cartridges guarantee smooth, broad movements without stick-slip during observation and shooting, even over a wide range of temperatures. Furthermore, switching from capturing pictures to shooting videos is incredibly quick and easy with the Gitzo 2 Way Fluid Head’s video configuration, with rapid setup through the integrated pan bar.

The 2 Way Fluid Head was designed respecting Gitzo’s unmistakably elegant and clean style, which represents the industry’s standard for excellence.Gitzo GHF2W. Height: 55 mm, Weight: 590 g, Base diameter: 6 cm
