As the name suggests, the RAIN PRO is a fully-fledged wireless weather station with a focus on precipitation measurement.
Two radio transmitters are included in the delivery: a container for measuring the amount of rain and a combined sensor for determining the outside temperature and humidity. The measured values are transmitted wirelessly to the base station in the living room.
Find a suitable place outside in the open air for the measuring container, where rain can fall unhindered from all sides.
If it starts to rain, the raindrops on the weather station display flash, the measuring cylinder graphic begins to fill up slowly and the exact amount of rain is displayed.
The 24h rain alarm alerts you as soon as the amount of precipitation exceeds the each single value you have set.
If you have operated the station over a longer period of time, you can view various summarised periods of time, such as the amount of rain for the last 24 hours, the last 7 days, right up to the total amount of rain since commissioning.
The precipitation amounts of the last 12 months can be retrieved and compared individually.
In addition, the RAIN PRO offers other useful information.
The weather symbol gives a forecast for the coming weather, based on the changes in atmospheric pressure measured with the integrated barometer. The temperature and humidity are displayed to control the room climate. The current time and the full date with day of the week are received via the DCF-77 radio signal.
Two further transmitters for temperature and humidity monitoring can be connected, e.g. in the children's room or in the garage.
