Insolence is part of Guerlain’s Legendary fragrance collection. A collection made of emblematic fragrances, composed for more than a century by 5 generations of Perfumers. These mythical pioneer perfumes compose a unique olfactive library, that the Maison Guerlain endeavors to preserve.
Insolence is a spark in the eyes, an intrepid smile. Insolence is a careless grace, an ironic elegance, an amused silence. Created in 2006, Insolence celebrates this surprising, free and daring femininity. An impertinent, floral and fruity creation which is built around an overdose of violet, orange blossom and red berry notes.
Designed by Georges Chevalier, its iconic “inverted heart” bottle is underscored with graceful scrolls typical of Art Nouveau. Its avant-garde stopper, in the form of a hollowed heart, evokes the delicate romanticism of this perfumery masterpiece and represented a real technical feat at the time.

A sensual philtre, this fruity floral scent takes you straight to the heart of the fragrance. It blends berry notes and feminine notes of violet and orange blossom with the smooth luxury of iris to form a fiery and voluptuous accord.
PERFUMERS SECRET
The Eau de Toillette Insolence showcases an overdosed, high-voltage violet: a triumphant violet that registers at the opposite end of the spectrum from the shy whisper usually used to treat this flower in half-shades and shadows. This dazzling violet rubs shoulders with a timeless, chic and feminine iris.
Insolence also initiates Guerlain's first use of berries in a composition.
