Levenhuk MED 5M Microscope Digital Camera with 9.4" LCD Screen

This Levenhuk MED digital camera is a comprehensive visual display system for working in a laboratory.
It is equipped with a color sensor LCD screen based on Android to which an image from a microscope is transmitted in real-time mode. That means it is unnecessary to look through eyepieces and strain your eyes: you can follow the study progress on the screen. It is convenient for individual work with specimens as well as for group research.

Along with showing the image, the camera can take photos and record videos. Records are saved to its built-in memory; you can also use external memory and memory cards. The image and video quality is suitable for professional use due to the well-discerned details of small structures and high image contrast. Built-in software is used for operating a camera: all of the functions are available on a sensor LCD screen. You can connect additional accessories: headphones, a keyboard, computer mouse, external monitor or TV.

It is noteworthy to mention the capabilities of the image processing of recorded material. Using pre-installed software, you can adjust the size, brightness, contrast, gamma, sharpness and saturation of an image, set the exposure time and white balance, perform camera calibration with objectives, and measure specimens or structures (several units of measurement are available). In addition, the software allows for conducting particle analysis.

The camera features a standard barrel diameter and can be installed in microscopes with an ocular tube of 23.2mm diameter. It is not recommended to use the camera with monocular or binocular microscopes as its screen is rather heavy and, therefore, a camera and a microscope can turn over because of the angled position. Use the camera only with trinocular models that have a separate vertical ocular tube. A mount adapter is required for attaching the camera to an ocular tube (purchased separately).

The camera is powered by an AC power supply.
