The Metapace K-1 is our proven cash drawer with professional features. It combines high functionality with a long service life at a very favourable price and is available in three colour varieties to suit every application: Either in modern stainless steel look or sturdy industrial lacquer in black or white, the drawer integrates itself seamlessly into every surrounding. It is thus suitable for almost all applications where cash is used and great importance is placed on security.
The K-1 in polished stainless steel offers the same features as the lacquered versions. On the front, it has a wide slot for cheques and especially in catering, food services and modern shops or boutiques, the Inox version soon becomes a visual highlight!
All models are equipped with a soft-opening mechanism that opens and closes the drawer extremely smoothly. Ball bearing steel rails ensure that the drawer still runs smoothly even after being opened hundreds of thousands of times. In a size of only 41x41x10 cm, the unit is equipped with eight coin compartments that can be flexibly adjusted in size. The standard K-1 drawer has two horizontal and four vertical bank note compartments (a large number of various conversion kits are available). The inserts for coins and notes can be individually removed. The lockable cover (optional) makes cashier changes simple, secure and takes just a matter of seconds.
The drawer features a scratch-resistant front surface and a lock. An emergency opening mechanism is located on the bottom of the drawer. Similar to other POS systems, the K-1 features a standard Epson POS printer interface, like those used by almost all manufacturers for cash desk printers.
If no receipt printer is used, we optionally offer an external cash drawer opener interface. It triggers a relay over the serial or USB interface to send an opening pulse to the cash drawer and requires no additional peripherals.
