Safe work and quick decisions
Potentially explosive environments, such as oil and gas plants or chemical plants, must be protected from sources of ignition. Electronic devices can be a source of ignition, therefore, when used in hazardous working environments, they must comply with the provisions of the ATEX Directive or similar regulations (e.g. UKEX and IECEx). The FLIR Cx5 camera is mounted in a rugged housing that prevents potential ignition from escaping into the atmosphere. This allows users to work safely.

The FLIR Cx5 has all the features to get you through your toughest day at work. The FLIR Cx5 housing is designed to absorb impact energy. In addition, the camera lens is protected by a special window made of germanium with an anti-reflective coating. The color display with a diagonal of 3.5 inches, which is also a touch screen, has armored glass. The set is complemented by a durable lanyard that you can conveniently remove in a safe place to conveniently charge the device or transfer data.

Full ATEX compliance at a very good price
ATEX compliant cameras, such as gas imaging cameras, tend to be placed in the higher price range. This makes them available on a limited basis to more workers. With the FLIR Cx5, companies can easily equip their teams with an affordable ATEX-compliant thermal imager that allows them to regularly check assets.

The FLIR Cx5 is a rugged, pocket-sized camera with the thermal image quality you know from FLIR products. The device is equipped with the FLIR Lepton® thermal imaging sensor and FLIR's patented MSX® technology, which enhances the visibility of object details in thermal images.
