Bright f/2.8 wide-angle prime lens
Go wide. Get close. Be amazing. This small, affordable full-frame 28 mm mirrorless lens brings rich colour and contrast to everyday shots. Stills to video, street scenes to landscapes, you get sharp results even in low light.
Wide and true
The NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 offers an angle of view that’s just wider than our normal field of vision. Wide but not too wide, this lens is ideal for capturing landscapes, cityscapes, and street scenes. It’s also brilliant for dramatic close-ups and lending a truly filmic look to video footage.
Softly blurred backgrounds
Shoot environmental portraits and street scenes that stand out. The wide Z mount and f/2.8 rounded 7-blade aperture give you incredibly creamy, rounded bokeh. Put your subject in sharp focus against a beautifully blurred background.
Dynamic close-ups
From stylish food photography to bold portraits, this wide-angle lens is stunningly sharp, even when focusing at close range. A minimum focus distance of just 0.19 m lets you shoot with the camera just 19 cm away from your subject.
Fast, silent autofocus
The Nikon Z multi-focusing system is fast, smooth, accurate, and quiet. Aberrations are drastically reduced, which helps your lens find focus quickly even when shooting at close range. The silence is ideal when shooting video.
Distinctive cinematic style
The 28 mm focal length is a classic in cinema, and the NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 lets you shoot great-looking footage with ease. Focus breathing has been all but eliminated so you can change focus without affecting angle of view. Plus, this lens is so lightweight it’s easy to use when shooting handheld or with a gimbal.
28 mm FX format
When used on a Z series full-frame mirrorless camera, this lens offers a wide 28 mm angle of view. Perfect for landscapes, street scenes, and dramatic close-ups.
42 mm DX format
When used on a Z series DX mirrorless camera, this lens offers a 42 mm angle of view. Perfect for candid portraits and vibrant vlogs.
Small
This unobtrusive wide-angle lens is a thrill to shoot with and easily small enough to keep on the camera. Be ready for every fleeting look and must-film moment.
Adaptable
The NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 is easy to use in any situation and always discreet. Set the silent control ring to control focus, aperture, exposure compensation, or ISO.
Protected
Offering a dust- and drip-resistant performance, this lens is as ready for those dramatic ground-level wide shots as it is for shooting the streets on rainy days.¹
